TRAFFIC CONTROLLERS STRIKE IN PORTUGAL – 29JUN - 03JUL 2012

An Air Traffic Controllers strike is due to take place in Portugal from 29th
of June to 3rd of July 2012. As a result, many airline related
activities including flight operations may be affected. This includes
possible flight cancellations. TAP Portugal strongly recommends that
travellers rebook for alternative dates.
In an attempt to limit inconvenience to our mutual customers, TAP has
implemented the following procedures in order for its Trade partners to
carry out rebooking and/or refunds themselves:
1. REBOOKING
Passengers
currently booked on any TAP services between 29th of June and 3rd
of July 2012 may be rebooked once, free of charge. As long as at
least one segment is affected, the entire itinerary may be rebooked
providing the new dates/flights are booked according to system range.
Rebooking must be made in the original booking class if available. If not
available, the lowest alternative booking class may be used as long as it
is in the same cabin.
Tickets
can then be reissued by our trade partners with the following information
added to the endorsement box: - “ATC STRIKE 29JUN - 3JUL 12”
An OSI must be added to the PNR stating:
“REBOOKED
FOC DUE ATC STRIKE 29JUN – 3JUL 12”
2. REFUNDS
Full
refunds of unused portion of the ticket will only be permitted should a
flight actually be cancelled, in which case please process directly via
your GDS and NOT in BSPlink. Please add “ATC STRIKE 29JUN – 3JUL 12”
in the notes section. For full list of cancelled flights please visit
our website at www.flytap.com.
An OSI must be added to the PNR stating:

All reissues and refunds are audited. Any rebooking/refunds processed
outside the criteria stated above or carried out incorrectly will be
subject to an ADM.
